Review: Soap & Glory Sleep Accelerator Night & Flight Moisture Miracle

I love Soap & Glory as a brand (as is evident from my previous reviews of Soap & Glory products, check them out here), so I am always excited to try new products from the brand. The last Soap & Glory product I tried was the Sleep Accelerator, a heavy duty moisturizer that I wore at night.

I quite liked this moisturizer, it was light and had a lovely scent (like peaches - a scent found in some other Soap & Glory products as well), but I am not sure it was a "miracle" cream as implied. Don't get me wrong: it does moisturize, and it does make your skin softer, but not in a miraculous way like some other creams do, just in a way you would expect from a moisturizer.

Therefore, I do like this moisturizer, although I do not see it as something very spectacular.

The cream lasts for quite a long time, though, as you do not need to use a lot each time and I really loved that it moisturized without making my combination skin oilier.

So yes, I would buy this moisturizer again, although my hopes would probably be more realistic this time!

Review: Soap and Glory The Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion

That I am a massive Soap & Glory fan shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has read this blog before. I think it's actually one of my favorite beauty brands of all time, even though I am not too thrilled about their new packaging, so when I spotted what I thought was a new moisturizer from them, called The Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion, I thought I would give it a try, since I was in need of a new moisturizer anyway. After all, I had been very, very happy with another one of their moisturizers that I had tried in the past, the Clear Here one. What I didn't realize, however, was that the Fab Pore Daily Micro Smoothing Moisture Lotion actually IS the Clear Here moisturizer. That's what it seems like to me anyway, after having tried them both. If it's not exactly the same moisturizer, they are at least incredibly similar.

I had heard that Soap & Glory had actually renamed some of their popular products and given them new packaging, and this certainly seems to be the case here.

That said, this moisturizer is really, really good (you can read more about why I think that in my review of the Clear Here moisturizer here), so while I am not too keen on the packaging, I would definitely recommend this to anyone with oily skin. It's simply great! But you shouldn't expect it to be a completely new Soap & Glory product, because it's not...

What I think of Soap & Glory's new packaging

As most of my readers probably already know, I am a huge fan of anything Soap and Glory, it's one of my all time favorite beauty brands, but since I had bought quite a lot of their products before they decided to re-do their packaging, it has taken me until now to get something with the new packaging on it.

I got two Fab Pore items, and I have to say that the change is huge, and, sadly, quite disappointing. I actually really liked all the cute pink packaging, I felt this was something that set Soap & Glory apart, and it looked great in my bathroom and shower too.

This new packaging looks way more boring, less unique and more medical, if that makes any sense. I get a toothpaste feeling from the tube, for sure, and really think Soap & Glory should have stuck to their old packaging. I understand that the reason for the change was that they wanted to make it easier for people to find products suited for their specific needs, but I think you could have done that somehow, while you kept the old style of packaging at the same time.

So I will definitely miss the old Soap & Glory packaging a lot!

That said, the products are so good I will still buy them, it's just a shame the packaging bores me now...

Review: Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream

I am not very good at taking care of my feet, mostly because I have pedicures on a regular basis, and between them I get a bit lazy. So I don't have a lot of experience with foot creams, but I have tried a few over the years, and since my feet seem to have been drier than usual lately, and I am such a huge fan of Soap & Glory, I decided to give Heel Genius, Soap & Glory's new foot cream, that seem to have mostly really good reviews, a try.

And this foot cream does not dissapoint! It comes in a super cute pink tube, smells nice (although not as nice as some other Soap & Glory products), is easy and pleasant to apply, and does make your feet really, really soft.

I wouldn't go as far as some other reviewers and say that it transforms your feet completely, I don't think any foot cream can do that probably, but it does improve them a lot. And it does that even after just one night with the cream on, which is pretty amazing, if you ask me.

You also don't need to use a lot of the cream, since a little really does go a long way with this one, so I think my tube will really last me a very long time, which is great.

So yes, this is probably the best foot cream I have ever tried, so it's really not surprising I would buy this again. Definitely another Soap & Glory product I can recommend!

Review: Soap & Glory Glam-A-Lot body spray

This is one of the body sprays I got in the Soap & Glory Scent Sationalism set that I wrote about in my previous post, and it's also the first one I started using, since it seemed to appeal to me the most, when I tried all the scents.

This is a less sweet, and I guess more mature scent than most Soap & Glory scents, making it perfect for evening, something I think most Soap & Glory scents are not, since they are very fresh and sweet, generally.

Like most Soap & Glory scents, this is very flirty and fun, though, so Soap & Glory have stuck to their signature trade mark with this scent as well.

I must say that the lasting power of this spray is not great though, but I guess that's kind of to be expected since it is a body spray, and not a perfyme of Eau de Toilette?
This does mean, however, that you need to re-apply this body spray quite often during the day, which can be a bit annoying.

But all that being said, this is definitely one of the best body sprays I've used ever, and the scent is wonderful, so I would definitely buy this again at some point. But this spray actually lasts for quite some time, so I doubt I will be needing to get another bottle for quite some time, even though the bottle I got is rather small.

Shopped: Soap & Glory's Scent Sationalism set

I loved Soap & Glory's Original Pink scent when I tried it, so when I found myself needing a new scent, I really wanted to try some more Soap & Glory scents, in order to see if they were as nice as Original Pink.

When I spotted this Scent Sationalism (love their names, by the way!), I thought it seemed like a great option for me, since it would give me the chance to try not one, but three, of their scents: Girligo, Mist You Madly and Glam-A-Lot.

The bottles are not all that big, but they serve as a really good introduction to the scents, so if you've ever been interested in trying these Soap & Glory scents, getting this set is a really good idea. I should also mention that these bottles are very handbag friendly, they are perfect for carrying around with you!

I will be reviewing each scent separately in a little while.

Review: Soap & Glory Whipped Clean

It will come as no surprise to anyone who has been reading this blog for a while that I am a huge fan of Soap & Glory beauty products, so I am always excited to try new products that I haven't tried from them. And since I had read so many positive reviews about their Whipped Clean shower product, I was pretty sure I would absolutely love it before I even got it.

Sadly, I didn't fall in love. That doesn't mean that this is a bad product by any means, it is a very nice combination of a shower gel and a body cream, like Soap & Glory says it is, but I just didn't like the scent of this product that much, which is actually weird since the scent is usually one of my favorite things about most other Soap & Glory products I have tried, their Hand Food, Original Pink EdT and Flake Away Body Polish have an absolutely amazing scent for instance, but Whipped Clean just had a very "foody" scent somehow, and that didn't appeal to me at all.

I don't mean that Whipped Clean smells bad, it doesn't, but I don't like products on my body that I would consider eating, if that makes any sense?

I had read in someone else's review that Whipped Clean was great for shaving your legs and stuff, and I tried it for that, just to see if that was true or not, and I have to say it makes an excellent shaving cream. So if anyone else has this shower product, I would definitely recommend using it for that, if you haven't already!

I am not sure I would buy this again, since there are Soap & Glory products out there that appeal to me more, but I wouldn't say others shouldn't get it either, since the scent was really the only big downside for me. And I've read that a lot of people like the scent, so if you are thinking about getting this, I would say you simply need to give it a sniff in order to decide if it's for you or not!

Review: Soap and Glory Off Your Face cleansing cloths

I've tried Soap & Glory's Deep Pore Purifying T-Zone cleansing cloths in the past, and loved them. (You can find out why here, if you are interested) But Soap & Glory also makes cleansing cloths that help you take off your make up as well, so when placing an order online for some other Soap & Glory items that I use on a regular basis (such as the Clear Here moisturizer, the Face Soap and Clarity face wash and the Scrub Your Nose In It facial scrub) a while ago, I decided to get their regular Off Your Face cleansing cloths as well.

These cleansing cloths are supposed to get your make up off as well, something the other Soap & Glory cleansing cloths don't, so while they are a bit similar to the previous cloths I've tried, they are different. I do think they cleansed my skin very well and left it feeling very clean, yet nice, something a lot of similar wipes, from cheaper brands don't. I've also noticed that using only Soap & Glory products does wonders for my skin, so since I am a fan of so many other products of theirs, I intend to keep using the Off Your Face cloths as well.

They also exfoliate your skin ever so gently, which is kind of nice, and since most facial wipes I've tried don't do that, I think that really sets these apart from other brand's similar products.

One thing you should know about the Off Your Face wipes, if you are considering getting them, however, is that they do not come with the typical girly Soap & Glory scent you might know from some of their other products. In my opinion, that's a bit of a shame, but since the product is so good otherwise, I will still buy this again for sure!

I just wish I could bulk buy these, as well as Soap & Glory's other cleansing cloths somehow. (If you are wondering why I buy both, I use the Off Your Face ones when I am wearing make up and need to get it off quickly for some reason, and the other ones when I just want to freshen up my skin slightly, and am not wearing make up. So I do think I need both!)

Review: Soap & Glory Hair Turban

I've mentioned my love for Soap & Glory products many times, but this time, I thought I would review a rather unusual product: their hair turban, which is meant to be used instead of a towel, after you wash your hair.
I read about the Soap & Glory Hair Turban and thought it sounded nice, but wasn't sure it would work for me, since my hair is very thick, very long and quite heavy. But I am happy to say that the turban fit all of my hair in it, without any problems. And even though I wasn't quite sure how easy the turban would be to use, I had no problems with that either (it comes with instructions, but since there is just one loop and one button on it, it's hard to do it wrong anyway). It's very easy to put on, comfortable to have on, even for quite a long time, but that's really not necessary, since it does dry the hair quite fast. Amazing, really!

I honestly thought this would be a rather useless item, but now that I have had a chance to try it, I am hooked! So much so, that I will buy a few more of these, so I will always have one at hand, even if I haven't managed to do the laundry since my last hair wash.

Highly recommended, even for those with long and heavy hair like mine! But I think it probably works even faster and better for those with shorter and thinner hair, but since I can't try that for myself, that's just a theory.

Review: Soap & Glory Slimwear

I've been using Bliss' anti cellulite products for a while now, and have been really pleased with them, but since I have found many of Soap & Glory's products to be better than their Bliss equivalents (even though both companies are founded by the same woman), I decided to give Soap & Glory's anti cellulite product a try too. I know Soap & Glory make several different anti cellulite products, but it seemed most people liked Slimwear more, so I decided to get that.

Now that I've tried Slimwear, I must say it's not as good as Bliss' Fat Girl Slim range, but it smells quite nice, it has a minty smell quite similar to the Scrub Your Nose In It scrub, which I really like, but it might not be for everyone. It also absorbs very quickly, I would say faster than Bliss' similar products, but the results are just not as noticeable as with the Bliss products, so I think I will continue using those instead.

I would still like to try Soap & Glory's other anti cellulite product, Sit Tight, though, it is supposed to be quite different compared to Slimwear, so maybe it will give me better results?

Review: Soap and Glory Hand Food hand cream

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you might already be aware of the fact that I absolutely love Soap and Glory, but it still took me a long while to try what is probably their most well known and iconic product: the Hand Food hand cream. That's mainly because I am not a huge fan of hand creams, I've never had any big issues with my hands, so I don't really use hand creams that often. But recently, my hands dried up quite a lot, so I decided to give this a try.

And well... to make a long story short: I loved it! I can easily say it is the best hand cream I have ever tried! It sinks in really quickly, smells divine, which is not so surprising since it's a Soap and Glory product, and those all smell wonderful in general I think. The scent Hand Food has is also Soap and Glory's signature scent, so if you like that, Hand Food is definitely worth trying!

I must say the scent is not very over powering though, in my opinion the scent could have been a bit stronger even, but I guess most people don't like strong scents in their hand creams, so I can see why Soap and Glory have chosen to tone it down a bit.

As far as I can tell, this hand cream really has no negative sides, so I definitely think I will start using hand cream more often now that I have found a really good one!

Review: Soap and Glory Original Pink Perfume

I mentioned a while ago that I had gotten the Soap and Glory Original Pink Perfume, and while I was hopeful about it, I must admit I wasn't really sure this scent would be nice. Because just because a brand is good at skincare or make up, it doesn't mean they are necessarily good at scents too, I think we've all seen examples of that sometimes. And I am also a very picky scent shopper, I dislike most scents for various reasons, and basically only the Moschino scents as well as a few others, like Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue are ones I go back to time after time. So that basically means I rarely repurchase scents, that's how picky I am!

But the Soap and Glory Original Pink scent turned out to be a really nice surprise! You see, it has that typical Soap and Glory scent, that I absolutely love, and that you can find in several of their other products as well, which is pretty much what I was hoping for, to be honest.

According to Soap and Glory, the scent consists of bergamot, citrus, rose, peach, strawberry, musk, jasmine and a bunch of other things, but to describe the scent using these classifications would just be wrong. Instead, I would say it is a very unique and very girly smell! So I can highly recommend this scent to anyone who is a fan of other Soap and Glory beauty products and their smell. If you haven't tried Soap and Glory products yet, I would suggest trying something like their Flake Away Body Polish, which smells similar, first, to see what you think. (Because even though I love this scent, if you don't like their scents in general, buying a whole bottle of it might be a bit of a waste...)

I'm not super excited about the bottle though (and you can't see how much there is left in the bottle since you can't see through it any place), but I don't mind that so much, I don't buy scents for their bottles anyway, and I must admit the Original Pink Eau de Toilette has the disadvantage of not lasting very long. You might need to reapply this from time to time, which is a bit of a downside with a scent. I've heard that you can make the scent last longer if you combine it with the body butter with the same scent, so I might try that to see if it's true.

But all in all, this scent is really a must for all Soap and Glory fans! I am so happy I got it, and would definitely get it again! I probably will as soon as I run out, in fact! And that's a huge compliment, coming from me!

Review: Soap and Glory Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser

As you may know, I am a huge fan of everything Soap and Glory makes. Well, everything I've tried anyway. So while the idea of a hot cloth cleanser didn't appeal to me all that much (it just seemed like a less hygienic way to clean your skin somehow, and a bit of a hassle too), I thought I should try the Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser anyway, since I absolutely loved the facial mask from the same line. And boy, am I glad I did!

Because it turns out I actually like this cleansing method a lot, it's not unhygienic at all, and not a hassle in any way, plus it really cleans your skin so well! And the product is actually really, really good too!

Because not only does it remove all make up you have on (I didn't want to try it with make up on at first, but decided to give it a try anyway, since I had heard that this is actually what you are supposed to do, it also gently exfoliates the skin, and leaves your skin really fresh, soft and clean. It doesn't dry your skin out at all, like some cleansers do, and using this product is actually a really nice routine at the end of the day.

What you do is basically that you apply the cream - yes, on top of your make up, massage it for around a minute and then leave it on for a minute or two (it says 60 seconds on the box, but I've left it on for longer too, without any problems), while you put the muslin cloth you get with it, in a bowl of hot water. After some time has passed, you simply dab the cloth on your face, thus removing the make up and dirt from your face. Dip the cloth into the water every once in a while, and if you are a germaphobe like me, you can even change the water if you'd like, but I don't think it's really necessary.

The cleanser comes with clear instructions, so even if you think this sounds like a lengthy process, it really isn't. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine!

The only thing I can complain about regarding this product is the fact that it has no special scent, which is something you'd find in most other Soap and Glory beauty products, but this cleanser has a very, very light, almost not noticeable scent. But that's really not a biggie since the cleanser literally works wonders! It's just something that surprised me a bit, so I thought it would be worth mentioning.

I will definitely be getting this cleanser again, and would recommend it to anyone with oily or combination skin. If it works even half as good on you as it did on me, you will not be sorry you got it!

Review: Soap & Glory Dr Spot spot fighting gel

I've had amazing results with Soap & Glory beauty products so far, so when I ordered their Dr Spot spot fighting gel, to have for those times you get a spot that you really need to get rid of fast (yep, it happens. And way more often that I would like, in my case), I hoped it would work, but I didn't really think it would. The reason for that mainly being that I have tried A LOT of similar products, and they have never worked like I wanted them to. Most of them do not effect the spot at all, and the ones that do, tend to dry out the skin completely, which means your skin still looks horrible afterwards, since you have one or two more dry patches on your face. And the worst spot fighters are of course those who don't effect the spot, but only dry your skin out, creating a new problem, without even fixing the first one!

So whenever I have tried products like this one, I have always, always been disappointed. And that goes for natural remedies like tea tree oil and similar too, I have tried those as well.

So my hopes were not that high when I noticed that I had indeed gotten a spot, and decided to try Dr Spot for the first time.

In order to understand how well I think this product worked, you should understand how I used it. I noticed I was getting a spot in the morning, and I did have Dr Spot in a drawer somewhere, but since I had no idea how the gel would work, I decided not to take any chances and try it before I had to go to work. So I just left the spot alone, and it got bigger and more annoying during the day. So right before going to bed, I decided to put some of the gel on, to see what would happen.
And in the morning, less than 6 hours later (I sleep way too little, I know!), the spot was almost completely gone! And believe me, that never happens to me with spots, even if I pop them (you shouldn't, I know, but I feel it helps make them go away faster) they're generally there for several days, even up to a week most of the time, so there is no way the spot/zit could have gone away by itself, it had to be the gel!

So I am incredibly impressed, but since I haven't had a spot since then (also a good thing, and could be because of the other Soap & Glory products I have been using, like the Scrub Your Nose in It scrub, my skin really has gotten much better in every way since I started using them), I can't know for sure if this is a one time thing, or something you can expect every time you use Dr Spot. So just in case it was indeed a one time thing, I might get back to reviewing it again in the future, if it should turn out that it doesn't always work.

But the first time I tried it, it was indeed nothing less of a skin miracle! So very highly recommended for now!

Shopped: Soap and Glory Original Pink Perfume

I'm kind of running out of perfumes at the moment, so I will be shopping for some new scents in the next few days. The first scent I decided to give a try was a Soap and Glory perfume, since I'm such a huge fan of the brand otherwise, so I wanted to see if their scents could be worth a try too.

Before making my purchase, I read some reviews on the Soap and Glory scents I had to choose from and the Original Pink perfume seemed to be the most liked one out of all the Soap and Glory scents, so it's the one I decided to start with.

Really looking forward to seeing if Soap and Glory's scents are as nice as their other products now!

Review: Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Polish

My love for Soap and Glory beauty products is well documented in this blog (see this, this, this, this and this for some examples of my favorite Soap and Glory products), but I love how I can still be really, really pleasantly surprised when I try something new from them. Like the Flake Away Shea Butter Sugar and Peach Seed Body Polish (yep, that's the full name on my jar at least!).

Why do I like it? The smell! Yep, it's as simple as that, because the smell of this scrub (which is basically what a body polish is) is simply divine, possibly the best one out of all the Soap and Glory products I have tried so far. And that's saying a lot, since they all smell amazing! Their scents alone really are a reason to try these products if you haven't so far, as strange as that may sound. And I am picky with smells, let me tell you!

It's also really effective, it scrubs really well, and leaves your skin feeling super soft after you use it, which is what a scrub should do, but it still doesn't sting or irritate your skin in any way, like some scrubs can. So I love this scrub, I really do!

I still wouldn't say it's the best scrub out there, because the Fat Girl Scrub (reviewed here, if you are interested) actually seems to do wonders against cellulite besides being an awesome scrub, and I like multitasking products, so that's still better, if you ask me. But to be honest the Flake Away Body Polish smells better. So if you don't need anything against cellulite (lucky you!), maybe go for the Soap and Glory Flake Away Body polish instead...

Review: Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk

Well, actually this cleansing milk has an even longer full name. Because it's actually: Peaches and Clean 4-In-1 Wash-Off Deep Cleansing Milk. And I know I raved so much about a previous facial wash I tried from them (read all the raves here), but this cleansing milk might be even better!

Or I wouldn't say it's better, perhaps, but it is just as good as the Face Soap and Clarity that I tried a while ago, just very different, so it is really hard to compare the two. The Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk has a really nice and soft scent of peaches, which makes it kind of a calming product, while the Face Soap and Clarity is more energizing. So what I am doing now is I use the Peaches and Clean product in the evenings, when I am kind of sleepy anyway, and the Face Soap and Clarity in the morning, when anything that energizes me a bit is great.

I also think the Peaches and Clean milk is much less harsh than the Face Soap and Clarity, so I think it could work really well for anyone with a slightly sensitive skin. But at the same time, it cleans your skin really well, so it has really improved my skin, which is kind of blemish prone from time to time.

I do think Peaches and Clean cleans make up better than the Face Soap and Clarity, but I haven't actually tested that in any way, it's more a general feeling. But if you want your cleanser to really melt your make up away, this is one of the best options I have ever tried.

So basically, I can really, really recommend the Peaches and Clean cleanser, probably for all skin types. It is just that amazing of a product! But that said, the Face Soap and Clarity is absolutely amazing too. So I guess the best thing to do if you can't decide on one of them is to get both, and try for yourself.

Me? I will keep buying both, I kind of like having a morning product and an evening product, I've never had that before, since I always tended to use the same product during all times of the day.

Review: Soap & Glory Clear Here moisturizer for oily skin

Like you know if you have been reading this blog for a while, I have been trying several Soap & Glory beauty products lately, and since their cleansers, face masks, cleansing cloths and scrubs worked so well, I thought I might as well get a matching moisturizer to follow up with when I use them, for best results. So I went online and found a Soap & Glory moisturizer for oily and combination skin that had gotten great reviews: the Clear Here moisturizer, so I decided to get it.

And now that I have had a chance to try it, I am so happy I did! It smells really nice, like most Soap & Glory beauty products, but the scent is not as strong as on most of their other products, which means this moisturizer can easily be used every day if you want. And since it is intended for combination skin like mine, it doesn't clog the pores, which is great since I have never had such clean and pretty skin as after I started using the Soap & Glory line.

Another great thing about this moisturizer is that it is mattifying and also absorbs really fast, so you can easily put it on in the morning, shortly before applying make up, which is just wonderful. In my experience, all moisturizers aren't suitable for that, so I certainly appreciate one that is!

Despite all this, I am still not sure this is actually the best moisturizer I have ever tried, which is why I am still a bit reluctant to add this moisturizer to the Current faves list, but it is definitely one of the top contenders! I just feel like I haven't been using it for long enough to be able to say if it really is awesome in the long run too. So let me get back to you on that! But my first impressions are indeed great!

I also love that while Soap & Glory beauty products (including the Clear Here moisturizer) give you amazing results, they are still inexpensive. So that just goes to show you that you don't have to spend a fortune on skin care for it to really work!

So to sum up: I totally recommend the Soap & Glory Clear Here moisturizer to anyone with oily or combination skin! I didn't think it would work for me as well as it did, so it could really work for you too!

The only down side I can think of is the size of the tube, I guess, it is kind of small compared to most moisturizers I have bought lately. But on the other hand, you don't need to use a lot of it to moisturize your entire face, so maybe a tube will still last you a while, hard to say at this point.
