Review: Anatomicals You Need A Blooming Shower Rose And Jasmine Body Cleanser

I've tried Anatomicals' products before, and I find them to be average, yet very reasonably priced and cute when it comes to presentation, so while no Anatomicals product has really blown me away so far, I still buy them from time to time, mostly to try new types of products/scent combinations and so on. And that is actually the reason I got the Anatomicals You Need A Blooming Shower Rose And Jasmine Body Cleanser too, I wanted to see if rose and jasmine works together. And yes, I do think it does, even though it is not the most exciting scent combination perhaps.

The scent is very original, though, and the texture nice and easy to work with. The cleanser also lathers a lot, which is nice, since it means you don't have to use a lot of the product each time, but you still get clean.

So I would definitely get this again, especially if I can get an ASOS discount on it (which is what I think happened last time), it's a basic, yet cute and nice shower gel basically.

Review: Anatomicals Farewell the Scarlet Pimplehell Deep Cleansing Mud Mask

I've been using Anatomicals products for years. This brand provides great value, since the products do exactly what they say they will, but they are often cheaper than competitor's products. And that was indeed the case when I tried the Anatomicals Farewell the Scarlet Pimplehell Deep Cleansing Mud Mask recently.

I've tried several mud masks in the past, and I would say a lot of them are really good for cleansing your skin. And so is Anatomicals Farewell the Scarlet Pimplehell Deep Cleansing Mud Mask as well. It does clean your skin nicely, but this mask is not as concentrated as most other mud masks I've tried. I don't really know if that means anything or not, but if you are used to really thick mud masks, using this for the first time might feel a bit weird.

The scent wasn't anything special, not in a good way or a bad way, and my skin did feel cleaner after I applied this mask, but the results weren't spectacular in any way. So if you are looking for a cheap mud mask, this is a great option, but if you are looking for something out of the ordinary, there are more effective mud masks out there. But you will generally have to pay a lot more for them!

Review: Anatomicals Headache Relief Balm

I suffer from headaches from time to time, and I have actually found some natural remedies to be really helpful when it comes to relieving headaches. A friend of mine brought me a bottle of some kind of minty essential oil that I was supposed to rub on my temples whenever I have a headache from a trip to Morocco, for instance, and that really helped! But unfortunately, I have run out of this oil, so I thought I would try the Anatomicals Oi! You Throbhead Headache Relief Balm to see if it was something similar, being a big Anatomicals fan and all.

Now, if you are reading this review of the Anatomicals Headache Relieft Balm in order to decide if you should get this balm or not, you should be aware of the fact that the headaches I have are very severe. So any minor things are very unlikely to help at all. But I have tried a similar product that actually did work, so I was still optimistic.

However, when I looked at the box the Anatomicals Oi! You Throbhead Headache Relief Balm came in, I was kind of bothered by the fact that the ingredients listed were:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Golden Yellow Beeswax
as well as several different essential oils.

Why did that bother me?
Because I have oily/combination skin, so I was worried that putting stuff like this on my skin, even if it is only on the temples, would make my skin break out or go completely crazy. So I wasn't too excited about trying this product when I got it for that reason, to be honest. But I did anyway, and while I do think you feel something when you apply this balm to your temples, it really didn't do anything for my headaches. I tried it on two different occasions, but I had the same non result both times, and since I am still kind of worried about skin issues (despite not having any issues, even though I was really scared I might), I won't use this any more. I just find it... well, completely useless for me, and a potential skin hazard too.

So while I adore Anatomicals otherwise, I must say this headache relief balm was a real disappointment unfortunately. I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone. If you do suffer from headaches and are looking for some cures for it, I might have some tips for you though, so feel free to contact me. Since this is supposed to be a beauty blog, I don't want to get into too much detail about that now. I feel a review of a headache relief balm is kind of off topic enough....

Review: Anatomicals The Sleek Shall Inherit The Earth Conditioner

So one of the hair care products I've been trying out lately is the Anatomicals The Sleek Shall Inherit The Earth Conditioner. (I've also been using an Anatomicals shampoo with it, since I believe some products are intended to be used together, but I've already reviewed the shampoo, here, so I'm not going to review it again)

I'm generally a big fan of Anatomicals products, I think they are reasonably priced and do what they say they do, and this conditioner is kind of the same. It works, it's nice, but nothing more than that. It didn't make my hair supersleek or amazing looking, but it did do what most conditioners do for my hair, making it easier to de-tangle after a shower.
So this conditioner does lack a wow factor, but it's definitely not a bad product in any way, just very mediocre.

I'm not sure I would repurchase this, but then again, I didn't think I would get the shampoo twice either after trying it for the first time, so you never know!

Review: Anatomicals The Follicle Oracle Frequent Wash Shampoo

I really like Anatomicals' products, and I have reviewed several of them before (see here and here). Since I have been so pleased with almost every Anatomicals product I've tried before, I am also keen on trying more of them, so recently I got the Anatomicals The Follicle Oracle Frequent Wash Shampoo over at ASOS.

Having had a chance to try it now, I have to say this shampoo is not as special as some of Anatomicals' other products, but it's not bad. It's just a very basic shampoo, nothing to be either dissapointed or extremely happy with. I actually wanted to try it since it is supposed to be for hair that is frequently washed, but I must say I couldn't really tell a difference between this shampoo or any other when it came to the results.

So if you are looking for really special shampoo, don't get this, but if a basic bottle will do for you, this will work just fine.

Review: Java Lather Coffee Buzz Body Cleanser by Anatomicals

I have mentioned before that I am a huge fan of the Anatomicals beauty range. Anatomicals makes very usable, basic, yet effective products and sell them for great prices, so I have tried quite a few of their products over the years. The last Anatomicals product I tried was the Java Lather Coffee Buzz Body Cleanser, a shower gel with a subtle coffee scent.

Now, I know not everyone loves the smell of coffee in beauty products, but I do, and I really liked the smell of this shower gel. It's not too overwhelming, but it makes you feel fresh and clean, and I definitely think I will be getting this again. I got my bottle over at ASOS, for a mere £3.00.

Review of my latest beauty haul

Like I mentioned before, I ordered some beauty products from ASOS during their sale. (It's still going on, by the way, so if you would like to get any of these products yourself, I am pretty sure you still can!)

I have had time to try some of them by now, so I just thought I would share some of my experiences with you.

The Anatomicals range seems great, first of all. I got a facial wash and an eye cream, and they both are really good. They smell nice, last for a long time (since you don't need to use a lot of these products for them to do their magic on you) and I have had very nice results so far.

The products remind me of the ones made by Neutrogena (especially the facial wash), so anyone who likes Neutrogena (I do!) should like the Anatomicals range as well.

But the best thing is of course, that they are very reasonably priced, so whoever tries to tell you that there aren't beauty products out there that are good and cheap, is simply wrong!

I can highly recommend both the facial wash and the eye cream, but when it comes to the third product I got: The Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream in a limited edition jar, I haven't had a chance to try it yet. (I thought I would get it for rashes, burns etc., and I simply haven't had any of those since I got it)

I can tell you that I am not too crazy about the scent though. I actually read reviews about that before buying the product, so I guess I am not the only one who finds it a bit weird, but since that's really the only impression I have of the cream so far, I thought it was still worth mentioning :)

I just ordered some beauty products from the ASOS summer sale (highly recommended, by the way, and not just for beauty products, they sell accessories, shoes and clothing as well):

Some eye cream from Anatomicals, because you can never have or use too much eye cream. And besides, I love Anatomicals, all their packages are so much fun!

Which is why I also got a facial wash from the same brand:

And since I have always been curious about Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream, I decided to get a jar of that as well, in this limited edition packaging:

I'm really looking forward to trying the Eight Hour Cream out, I know so many people who swear by it and tell me it's amazing. So it will be interesting to see if they are right!
