I'm a girl who loves beauty products, even though I haven't always been very keen on them, so I decided to start a beauty blog, where I share beauty product reviews with others and tell you about both the worst and best beauty products out there, according to me.

I'm also hoping it will make beauty and makeup more fun, even for those who are not beauty addicts already.

My latest purchase: Bliss Glamour Gloves

I've recently become a fan of Bliss, after having tried their amazing facial (read more about that here), so of course I want to try some of their other products as well, especially since I've heard people say they are all amazing.

I found it quite hard to decide what product to get though, since a lot of them seem really great, but in the end I decided it had to be their Glamour Gloves, since my hands can get into really bad shape sometimes. And no, I don't mean my nails or anything, more like the skin on my hands, especially if I do a lot of dishes, cleaning and such things.

So what could be better than popping your hands into a pair of gloves with some self activating moisturizer that is supposed to work wonders? I figured not much, and I am looking forward to trying these out a lot!

Review: Smith's Rosebud Salve in a tube

I am a huge fan of Smith's Rosebud Salve (Minted Rose is the best, if you ask me, because it actually makes your lips a tiny bit bigger when you wear it too!), so I was thrilled to find out that this great salve also comes a tube now!

I've been using this in jars for years, so I wanted to see if I would like it in a tube too. And while it is a nice idea, I still think a jar is a better solution, at least I end up using more of the product when it is in a tube for some reason, and unless you let others borrow your Smith's Rosebud Salve in a jar, I've never noticed the whole hygiene thing being a problem either.

So while I am happy I gave the tube a try (this is a great way of introducing those who aren't already using this salve to the brand), I probably won't be getting another tube. I prefer the jar by far!

Reviews of my latest purchases coming up!

I recently went travelling, and when I travel, I usually shop. This time was no exception, and I actually ended up getting some beauty products, so I will be reviewing them shortly.
Yes, I absolutely love Sephora, so of course I had to stop by there!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I did not get anything beauty related for Valentine's Day, I ended up bagging some jewelry instead, but I still had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I hope everyone else did too! And if you did get anything beauty related for this occasion, I would love to hear about it, so feel free to share!

Review: Paul & Joe skin care products

I've been trying the Paul & Joe skin care products mentioned here for the last days, and while I don't like writing negative reviews (I always try to be positive, after all, and most products have something good about them, since I don't buy really low end beauty products) I have to say I don't think skin care is really Paul & Joe's thing.

Out of this bunch, consisting of a deep cleansing milk, a toner, a moisture lotion and a lip product, the cleansing milk was by far the worst product. It left the skin feeling dirty (I am not sure it actually was, maybe it was cleaned well, but it felt oily and not clean at all after I rinsed it off. Now, I like my skin to feel clean and bare after I rinse a cleansing product off, before I use toner and moisturizer, and this cleansing milk did not do that for me at all. Instead, it gave me the feeling I should use another cleanser to get the Paul & Joe cleanser off!

The smell of the cleanser and the moisture lotion is great though, it smells like mandarine a bit, which is really nice. The toner is okay, but nothing special and the moisture lotion is nice to use but did not give great results in any way.

The biggest downside to all these products is however, that you need to use a lot of them since a small amount is not enough. So if you do end up getting Paul & Joe skin care products (I would recommend you not to, but I know not everyone will take that into consideration), be prepared to use them up fast!

So to sum it up, I would say that Paul & Joe skin care is really not a good buy. There is so much great skin care out there, so while Paul & Joe is a great brand for other things, I would stick to one of the more reputable brands for skin care instead!

Shopped

Sephora always impresses me, and when I visited a Sephora store in South Beach, Miami yesterday, I couldn't resist buying some stuff either.

As you can see, I ended up getting some Rosebud Salve stuff, some Hello Kitty stuff, some Tokidoki stuff and some Too Faced stuff. Closer reviews and comments on these products coming up once I have had a chance to try them!

Tried today

I am currently travelling and while visiting the Theatre of the Seas in Islamorada in the Florida Keys, I tried this great hand scrub by Secrets of the Islands.
It's actually a salt scrub, based on techniques used traditionally by fishermen in the Florida Keys to exfoliate their hands and make them smooth and remove any smells. It works wonderfully, and even though I am rarely impressed by scrubs, this one is really outstanding! I definitely plan on ordering some of this scrub as soon as I have a chance!
