I'm a girl who loves beauty products, even though I haven't always been very keen on them, so I decided to start a beauty blog, where I share beauty product reviews with others and tell you about both the worst and best beauty products out there, according to me.

I'm also hoping it will make beauty and makeup more fun, even for those who are not beauty addicts already.

Review: Decleor Hydra-Floral Anti-Pollution Moisturizing Gel Cream for Eyes

The area around my eyes turns really dry and bad looking during the winter, when the weather is colder. The best way to battle this is of course to use some good eye cream. However, good eye cream is not always so easy to find, especially not if you actually prefer gels, like I do. I do think I have found a pretty good one lately though, the Decleor Hydra-Floral Anti-Pollution Moisturizing Gel Cream for Eyes.

That is, I thought I had found something new, until I took a look here at the blog, and saw that I had actually reviewed this exact eye cream here already (see that review here), but the packaging on this eye cream was so different that I did not actually realize it was the same one. The reason? I had bought a salon size, which apparently looks significantly different, compared to the regular size.
But even though the Decleor Hydra-Floral Anti-Pollution Moisturizing Gel Cream for Eyes was not exactly a new discovery in the end, it is still just as good as the first time I reviewed it, so I am still glad I have this eye gel cream to help me battle my dried up area around the eyes! Especially considering how light weight it is, so it sinks in really fast, making it appropriate for use during any time of the day I feel I need it!

Review: Decleor Aroma Night Ying Yang purifying night balm

I mentioned in a previous post that the Decleor Hydra Floral Moisturizing Mask reminded me of how much I actually like Decleor products, and made me decide to get some more Decleor stuff. Well, I did, and now I thought I would share what I thought of their Aroma Night Ying Yang purifying night balm, a completely new product for me, but I saw that it had excellent reviews, and since I've never really used night face masks, I thought it could be interesting to try what having a face mask on during the night might be like.
I must say that using face masks during the night might not be for me. This mask is rather greasy, no matter how much of it you apply, and while it didn't really make my hair or pillow cases dirty or anything, I did find it a bit weird to go to bed with such a greasy face. I also thought the balm might have "soaked in" by morning but nope, my face was just as greasy when I woke up too, so I did need to clean my face thoroughly as soon as I woke up, to get rid of the stuff.
But! Even though the Decleor Aroma Night balm feels greasy, it definitely does not make my skin greasy at all! Instead, my skin looked excellent after having used this, so it really does work! If you have oily and combination skin, like me, and don't mind the greasy feeling at night, this is definitely worth trying, because I was really impressed with how my skin looked afterwards!
The Decleor Aroma Night Ying Yang purifying balm smells wonderful too, so it is definitely a more high end product than some of the other skin care I use. And while this might seem like an expensive balm, it actually isn't, since a little really goes a long way with this balm. You only need to use very little at a time, so I think one small jar will last for quite some time, to be honest.
So I came to the rather weird conclusion that I probably won't be getting this again myself, because I am just weirded out by the greasy feeling of it, but I would still really, really recommend it to others! Because while it seems weird that something greasy, with essential oils, would improve already oily skin, it actually does! So give this a try if you have any skin problems like that at all!

Review: Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Flower Essence Moisturising Mask

I have had a small sample of the Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Flower Essence Moisturising Mask for quite some time now, but I only came around to actually using it quite recently. Which was really quite a shame, because this is a lovely face mask for those occasions when you need some more moisture! I think I have just been putting off using it since my skin is actually rather oily, so I have spent a lot of energy trying to battle that, instead of adding enough moisture to it.
But even people with oily skin like mine need to keep their skin hydrated, of course, and Decleor products in general (I've tried several of them in the past too) do a great job at that. Without causing any breakouts, too, which can be a problem for me otherwise, with other heavily moisturizing products, due to my skin type.

What you are supposed to do with this product is to slather it on, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and then wipe off any product that hasn't been absorbed by your skin yet. But I think you actually don't need to do that, if you want to get the full results of this product, you can just leave all of it on, if you want to.
As for the texture, it's a bit thicker than regular day cream, so I wouldn't be surprised if this made a great night cream too. I wouldn't put it on before going out though, it's a bit too thick and makes your skin a bit too dewy for that, though!

The scent is lovely, and typical of Decleor's Hydra Floral range, if anyone has tried that before.
I really liked this mask, and was so impressed by the results I got by it that it has really made me want to try more Decleor products now. I used to use them quite a lot in the past, but since they are really expensive where I live, I stopped buying them some years ago. And since then, they've released quite a few new & interesting products that I want to try out.

Review: Decleor Hydra Floral eye gel-cream

As some of you may remember, I have been testing very many eye creams lately, and since they were all disappointing in some way (read why here, here, here or here for instance), I decided to try something different, namely an eye gel instead of an eye cream, since a big issue I had with most eye creams I tried was that they felt too heavy and greasy for me. (Maybe because I am still pretty young and do not have a lot of wrinkles and lines around my eyes yet?)
I figured a gel should be lighter, and therefore more what I was looking for, and one eye gel that I read good things about was the Decleor Hydra Floral eye gel-cream, as it is called, so I decided to get it.
And the first thing I have to say about this eye gel is that it is indeed more like what I wanted: not heavy at all, absorbs very fast and smells delightful, yet natural. I also like that the cream is supposed to do quite a few things:
Reduce appearance of dark circles around the eye
Relax the skin, as well as hydrate it
Protect against pollution
and
help you get rid of any pesky old lines or wrinkles.
Obviously, I can't really say if my skin is better protected against pollution after I started using the Decleor Hydra Floral eye gel-cream, but I can say this: the skin around my eyes look very fresh, less dry and I definitely look less tired. It also seems any small lines I have became less noticeable, but they are not completely gone. But maybe that's an unreasonable expectation to have anyway?

So this eye gel was really a nice surprise, and I would say it is definitely the best eye cream I have tried so far. But since this whole eye gel thing (as opposed to thicker eye creams) is so new to me, I think I should try some more gels before I decide if the Decleor gel for the eye area is actually the best one out there. But if you are reading this review to find out if the Decleor Hydra Floral eye gel-cream is worth getting, it definitely is!

Great beauty Christmas gifts

A lot of my friends really like beauty products as well, so I end up giving them beauty products for the holidays a lot of the time. If you would like to do that as well, here are some tips regarding what you could get them:
Freeze 24/7 Plump Lips Ice Sticks, that makes your lips bigger and fuller, while adding color at the same time. Available in several colors and really does work wonders! From Strawberrynet.
The Decleor Hydra Floral Anti-Pollution Natural Beauty Collection, with a face cream, face mask and aromessence. A wonderful line (one of my favorites) that can really benefit anyone who lives in a bigger city (like me). Also available over at Strawberrynet.
Clarins Travel Vanity Collection, which is also available at Strawberrynet for a great price. Very useful for anyone who travels a lot and doesn’t want to lug tons of make up with them.
The Murad Blemish Control Starter Kit, which is a great kit for anyone who suffers from blemishes from time to time. I personally love this kit, which lasts for a really long time, and have previously mentioned that here. Also available on Strawberrynet.
Fun eyelashes, available for just £15.00 over at ASOS. Not something you would wear every day, I agree, but so much fun for parties!
A Clarisonic Mia, which will definitely be the best present the receiver has ever gotten if you give this to someone. Just ask any Clarisonic owner, they rock! You can get them in tons of different places, such as over at ASOS.
Any L Occitane set, because they are so luxurious, smell so nice and make awesome presents too. You can find these in any L Occitane store or over at ASOS.

Why did I choose to feature products from Strawberrynet and ASOS in this post?
The reason is simple, they both offer free shipping worldwide and great prices, so no matter where you live, ordering from them is a good idea.

Good luck!
