I'm a girl who loves beauty products, even though I haven't always been very keen on them, so I decided to start a beauty blog, where I share beauty product reviews with others and tell you about both the worst and best beauty products out there, according to me.

I'm also hoping it will make beauty and makeup more fun, even for those who are not beauty addicts already.

Review: La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel

I have been hearing a lot of good stuff about the French skincare brand La Roche-Posay lately. This is a brand sold in French pharmacies, and since I have had pretty good experiences with pharmacy brands in the past (Swedish ACO products are excellent, for instance), but never tried French pharmacy brands before, I really wanted to try something by La Roche-Posay.

Since my skin is a typical oily skin, I quickly understood La Roche-Posay's Effaclar line would probably fit me the best, so one of the first La Roche-Posay products I had to get was their Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel.
The first thing I noticed when I started using this was the amazing scent. It smells very clean, very natural and really nice, so it's really a joy to use, scent-wise. It also foams up just a little bit, but not too much, so it becomes annoying to use, and is basically a pretty basic cleansing gel, which is pretty much what you would expect from a pharmacy cleanser, I guess.
But it does clear up my skin really nicely, yet without irritating it. So my skin definitely improved after I started using this! I haven't been using it for that long though, just for a couple of weeks, and people say the long term results are even better. So I think I will really stick to using only this gel for a while now, and see if the long term results really are that impressive.
I will definitely buy this again, as well as other products from this brand, because I was that impressed! I would almost say that this is the best cleanser I know of, if it wasn't for the lovely scent that Soap & Glory facial cleansers (namely Peaches and Clean and Face Soap and Clarity) have and which I slightly prefer to the scent of the Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel.

But this was definitely a really good purchase for me, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone with acne prone or oily skin, since a lot of people seem to get really amazing results with this!

Review: Soap & Glory Heel Genius Foot Cream

I am not very good at taking care of my feet, mostly because I have pedicures on a regular basis, and between them I get a bit lazy. So I don't have a lot of experience with foot creams, but I have tried a few over the years, and since my feet seem to have been drier than usual lately, and I am such a huge fan of Soap & Glory, I decided to give Heel Genius, Soap & Glory's new foot cream, that seem to have mostly really good reviews, a try.

And this foot cream does not dissapoint! It comes in a super cute pink tube, smells nice (although not as nice as some other Soap & Glory products), is easy and pleasant to apply, and does make your feet really, really soft.
I wouldn't go as far as some other reviewers and say that it transforms your feet completely, I don't think any foot cream can do that probably, but it does improve them a lot. And it does that even after just one night with the cream on, which is pretty amazing, if you ask me.
You also don't need to use a lot of the cream, since a little really does go a long way with this one, so I think my tube will really last me a very long time, which is great.
So yes, this is probably the best foot cream I have ever tried, so it's really not surprising I would buy this again. Definitely another Soap & Glory product I can recommend!

Review: Soap & Glory Pulp Friction body scrub

This is another new Soap & Glory product I've been trying lately. And I quite like it! It's what Soap & Glory themselves call a foaming body scrub, which is actually really nice, since it makes the scrub more pleasant to use, in comparison with a regular body scrub, at least if you ask me.

It's not the most effective body scrub I've ever tried, but it's great for those who want to have a little bit of a scrub every day, since I definitely think it's gentle enough for every day use if you feel like it.
I also quite like the scent, I've learned it's Soap & Glory's Fruitigo scent, which was new to me until I tried this, but I immediately liked it quite a lot.

The packaging is quite nice as well, and really suitable for keeping in the shower.
So all in all, this was a nice, although maybe not a very groundbreaking, product, and I definitely think I will be getting this again!

Review: Lilac Thyme Soap Company Natural Face Mask with Rose Clay and Raspberry

So this is one of the products that I got in my Beautylishious beauty box a while ago, and as I mentioned in the post that I wrote about the beauty box itself, this mask is quite different from other face masks I normally use, which intrigued me quite a bit. You see, this jar actually only contains a very fine powder, that looks pretty much like face powder (it even has the same color a bit!), and when you want to apply the face mask, you are supposed to take some of the powder, mix it with some water (not very much, though) and create the mask yourself.
I've never had face masks that I had to mix myself, but it's really not very much work, so I don't mind it too much. It can easily get kind of messy though, which annoys me (read about how another messy face mask, Laline's Hot Mama, annoyed me in the past here), so I would say that the messiness is definitely the biggest downside of this Lilac Thyme Soap Company mask.
I also can't say that I got any really amazing results using this face mask, but then again, I don't with most face masks, so that doesn't necessarily mean that the mask is bad in any way, more that my skin is really annoying!
I did like the fact that I got the chance to try a brand new brand due to the Beautylishious beauty box, I don't think that I would have ever tried the Lilac Thyme Soap Company products otherwise. And the natural face mask with rose clay and rasberry has a really cool concept, if you ask me, because it's wonderful for those who really have a lot of time to spare for pampering themselves (and cleaning up the bathroom afterwards!). I'm just not sure I am one of those people, so I probably wouldn't buy this again, but would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for more natural and unique skin care products! It's definitely interesting to try!

Review: Soap & Glory Glam-A-Lot body spray

This is one of the body sprays I got in the Soap & Glory Scent Sationalism set that I wrote about in my previous post, and it's also the first one I started using, since it seemed to appeal to me the most, when I tried all the scents.

This is a less sweet, and I guess more mature scent than most Soap & Glory scents, making it perfect for evening, something I think most Soap & Glory scents are not, since they are very fresh and sweet, generally.
Like most Soap & Glory scents, this is very flirty and fun, though, so Soap & Glory have stuck to their signature trade mark with this scent as well.

I must say that the lasting power of this spray is not great though, but I guess that's kind of to be expected since it is a body spray, and not a perfyme of Eau de Toilette?
This does mean, however, that you need to re-apply this body spray quite often during the day, which can be a bit annoying.
But all that being said, this is definitely one of the best body sprays I've used ever, and the scent is wonderful, so I would definitely buy this again at some point. But this spray actually lasts for quite some time, so I doubt I will be needing to get another bottle for quite some time, even though the bottle I got is rather small.

Shopped: Soap & Glory's Scent Sationalism set

I loved Soap & Glory's Original Pink scent when I tried it, so when I found myself needing a new scent, I really wanted to try some more Soap & Glory scents, in order to see if they were as nice as Original Pink.

When I spotted this Scent Sationalism (love their names, by the way!), I thought it seemed like a great option for me, since it would give me the chance to try not one, but three, of their scents: Girligo, Mist You Madly and Glam-A-Lot.

The bottles are not all that big, but they serve as a really good introduction to the scents, so if you've ever been interested in trying these Soap & Glory scents, getting this set is a really good idea. I should also mention that these bottles are very handbag friendly, they are perfect for carrying around with you!
I will be reviewing each scent separately in a little while.

Review: Soap & Glory Whipped Clean

It will come as no surprise to anyone who has been reading this blog for a while that I am a huge fan of Soap & Glory beauty products, so I am always excited to try new products that I haven't tried from them. And since I had read so many positive reviews about their Whipped Clean shower product, I was pretty sure I would absolutely love it before I even got it.
Sadly, I didn't fall in love. That doesn't mean that this is a bad product by any means, it is a very nice combination of a shower gel and a body cream, like Soap & Glory says it is, but I just didn't like the scent of this product that much, which is actually weird since the scent is usually one of my favorite things about most other Soap & Glory products I have tried, their Hand Food, Original Pink EdT and Flake Away Body Polish have an absolutely amazing scent for instance, but Whipped Clean just had a very "foody" scent somehow, and that didn't appeal to me at all.
I don't mean that Whipped Clean smells bad, it doesn't, but I don't like products on my body that I would consider eating, if that makes any sense?

I had read in someone else's review that Whipped Clean was great for shaving your legs and stuff, and I tried it for that, just to see if that was true or not, and I have to say it makes an excellent shaving cream. So if anyone else has this shower product, I would definitely recommend using it for that, if you haven't already!

I am not sure I would buy this again, since there are Soap & Glory products out there that appeal to me more, but I wouldn't say others shouldn't get it either, since the scent was really the only big downside for me. And I've read that a lot of people like the scent, so if you are thinking about getting this, I would say you simply need to give it a sniff in order to decide if it's for you or not!
