I'm a girl who loves beauty products, even though I haven't always been very keen on them, so I decided to start a beauty blog, where I share beauty product reviews with others and tell you about both the worst and best beauty products out there, according to me.

I'm also hoping it will make beauty and makeup more fun, even for those who are not beauty addicts already.

Review: Moschino Chic Petals

I am a huge fan of Moschino scents, as I've mentioned several times on the blog already (you can read about some of my favorite Moschino scents here, here and here, for instance), so I was pretty excited when I noticed that they had released a new scent that I hadn't tried yet, called Chic Petals.
Unfortunately, this scent turned out to be the least original Moschino scent I've ever tried. It's hardly anything remarkable at all, and like other Moschino scents, it doesn't have the best staying power either.
Chic Petals is supposed to be a mix of pomegrenade (a scent I personally don't think should be in a perfume anyway, but hey, maybe that's just me?), wild strawberry, red rose petals, red ginger, musk and wood, as well as a few other things, but in my opinion it just makes a rather boring, yet not unpleasant scent, which is why I used up the bottle despite not being a big fan.

The bottle and the packaging is really cute, though, but that is not something specific for Chic Petals, but rather for Moschino scents in general.

So I think Chic Petals was definitely a disappointment, and I won't be buying it again, especially not since there are so many other nicer Moschino scents out there!

Review: Moschino I Love Love

This scent was a part of my 5 scent Moschino set that I got quite some time ago (read a post about the set here), and like most other Moschino scents I have tried, it's simply lovely!

It reminds me a bit about Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue, and is also a very light, summery and flirty scent. It smells like a citrus/flower mix to me, and has a young and modern feel to it, despite being launched in 2004 already.

I just had a small bottle, but I've had the bigger bottles before, and like most Moschino bottles, this one is really adorable too.

I think the staying power is okay, although not perfect, but very similar to that of other Moschino scents, I guess.
I think this is a great fragrance for day time (a bit light for the evening perhaps) and I know I will definitely be repurchasing this, since I have already bought it several times so far. So I would definitely recommend this scent to any Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue fans, or fans of other Moschino scents!

The proof is in the purchase

I mentioned in my review about the Moschino Pink Bouquet perfume that I would not mind getting this scent again. But what I had forgotten when I wrote that was that I had already purchased a full size bottle of this scent. So here's some pics of the full size bottle as well (the pics in the previous post were of a smaller bottle from a gift pack with several Moschino scents):

So as you can see, I will indeed continue using Pink Bouquet after my first bottle runs out too!

Review: Moschino Pink Bouquet

I mentioned that I had gotten a 5 scent set by Moschino a while ago, and now it's time to share some opinions on another one of these scents: Pink Bouquet. This was actually a scent that I had been curious about for quite some time before I got the set, so I was excited to try it.

The first thing you need to know about this scent, if you are thinking about getting it is that it's really, really girly, which I like, because I do have days when I feel really girly, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. It's also a rather young scent, with notes of pineapple sorbet, raspberry, peach and a bunch of different flowers, so if you are looking for a very mature scent, this is not the best choice.
It's also a really light and summery scent, and it smells pretty unique, like most Moschino scents, and while this scent was hyped when it was released, probably due to the cute bottle, not that many women, at least where I live, have discovered it yet, so if you choose to wear this, you probably won't run into many other women wearing it.
The lasting power is okay, not more, but in line with most other Moschino scents I would say.

So I am really happy I got a chance to try this in the end. I will definitely be repurchasing this as well!

(the bottle in the image is a miniature one, not full sized, in case you are wondering)

Review: Moschino Light Clouds

I mentioned that I had gotten a pack of several Moschino scents a while ago, and now it's time to review the first of these. I decided to go with Light Clouds first, since this is a scent I have gotten so many compliments for since I started wearing it, so it seems I am not the only one who likes it!
I always find scents rather hard to describe, but I would say this scent is light (which I like, I've never been a fan of heavy musks), warm yet also kind of sporty, youthful and fresh. It sort of reminds me of those perfumes that are supposed to smell like fresh laundry, but this scent definitely has a character of it's own as well!
The scent is rather subtle though, so I would say Light Clouds is a great scent to wear during the day, but you might need something a bit heavier for the evening. And the lasting power is not very impressive, I am afraid, but the scent is lovely, so much so, in fact, that I don't mind re-applying after a few hours.

So I would say this is definitely a good addition to my collection of scents, and I would definitely get this again. It's not my favorite Moschino scent, but it comes close. So I'm pretty sure this will not be my last Moschino Light Clouds bottle. And I think several of my co-workers are interested in getting a bottle of their own after having smelled this on me! If that's not a good sign when you're wearing a new scent, I don't know what is!

I would definitely recommend this scent to anyone who likes light and airy scents, with a warm undertone, and to anyone who has liked Moschino scents in the past.

Shopped: Moschino 5 scent set

I love shopping in duty free stores at airports. Which is kind of weird, because I really, really don't like airports otherwise. But the duty free stores often have really cool sets that are hard to find elsewhere, products I probably wouldn't buy for the full price, but don't mind trying if I can get them for a really good price, as well as a lot of miniatures of products I've been dying to try.

So I do try to go to the duty free stores whenever I am travelling. And the last time I was, one of the sets I got was this 5 scent Moschino set:
It has miniature bottles of 5 different Moschino scents:
Pink Bouquet (which I have been dying to try for quite some time)
I love love
Light Cloud
Glamour
&
Cheap and Chic.
I will be reviewing all of the scents separately, I think it's just easier, but I must say this is a really excellent set! I need smaller perfume bottles, that I can carry with me when needed anyway, and most of my other scents are all in full sized bottles, so I really should try to get these miniature sets more often!

Review: Moschino Toujours Glamour

So like I mentioned in a previous post, I got a new Moschino perfume a while ago: Moschino Toujours Glamour, a scent that was first released in June 2010.
This is a pic from the ad campaign when the scent was first released, from Now Smell This.

I have been using this scent a lot since I got it, it somehow smells really clean, and reminds me of laundry detergent for some reason (which I love! Laundry detergent is a great smell for me, since I love fresh laundry!), which is kind of strange, since the notes in it are:
Red berries
Cardamom
Musk
Bitter almond
Jasmine
Lily of the valley
and violet leaves.
So I definitely like this scent, like most Moschino perfumes a lot, and I do think it is a great scent to wear every day. It's not an occasion scent, if you know what I mean.
Definitely worth getting for Moschino fans!

My new perfume

I got a new perfume today: Moschino Toujours Glamour.
I haven't tried this perfume before, but I am a huge fan of Moschino scents in general, they are actually my favorites by far. So when I saw this cute bottle (cute packaging is another thing Moschino does wonderfully, by the way), I knew I had to get it. You can never go wrong with Moschino, you know!

(I did try the tester before buying it, of course, don't worry. But I haven't worn the scent a whole day yet, so a full review will be coming up later!)
